Sir Thomas Dale
In 1613, he came and foundered to Bermuda City (aka Hopewell, VA) and included a founder of the Citie of Henricus in 1611- near the Chester, VA (Chesterfield County) near I-95. You know where it is. If you interested to go, just go to Citie of Henricus for a visit park. It's important to learn...
To learn what and why and where and about:
I am not proud about the historic of Hopewell. The City Hall council people made for honorable to Peter Francisco and Martin Luther King Jr here in Hopewell. Why??
They are not belong to Hopewell by births or grow ups and deaths
Peter Francisco born in Terceira Island near Portugal, Spain. He founded in Hopewell when he was five. he was from the ship and to rid of him. or He don't bury his death in Hopewell, VA -- only he buried in Richmond. Why? No questions.
Martin Luther King Jr was civil activist, I applauded him, but I am not pleased about his statue in Hopewell- Why? He is not belong to Hopewell, Va., either birth, grow up or been here or death yet...only one of his follower, Rev. Dr. Curtis W. Harris who made Martin Luther King Jr a statue in Hopewell....
What!?
Dr. Harris is WRONG to do so. If he born, grow up and death, he would be a statue to be honorable because he was a follower of Martin L. King Jr. I would prefer that support the idea. Why MLK Jr?
Come on.
Where the honorable for Sir Thomas Dale the statue? He was founder of the Bermuda City!
And, Where is Thomas Rolfe's death is here in Hopewell, VA Where is his statue?!
That's the city council who's faulted.
We need to discussing about it on this comment and make the petition to remove the statues in the future. Or, the statues can stays.
I want Sir Thomas Dale and Thomas Rolfe to have the statues for Hopewell's Historical places!
